Since coming to DTLS in 2021, Lauren has become a go-to resource for everything from planting design and soil science, to gardening tips and tech trouble-shooting. As a landscape designer, she draws upon her background in environmental science to inform her approach to designing spaces for people to interact with nature and learn about ecological systems. Lauren loves working with kids and is especially drawn to education-related work. She often volunteers as a youth mentor and as an advocate for landscape architecture. At home, much of Lauren’s attention is devoted to her plants and a diverse collection of animal friends. She is often decked out in one of her handmade clothing pieces, and is known for giving the best baby shower gifts.
