Julia is President and co-founder of DTLS, and leads the company’s operations and project management efforts.  She is an attentive listener who treasures opportunities to create and maintain relationships with clients and collaborators, guiding projects from start to finish.  Julia’s design  approach is informed by her experience as a sculptor and teacher.  From large-scale master plans to courtyard planting plans, she focuses on the details that contribute to the quality of the visitor’s experience in the landscape.  Julia’s project experience ranges from authoring regional ecological guidelines, to designing corporate and healthcare campuses, to crafting intimate residential gardens. Away from DTLS, Julia enjoys taking outdoor excursions with friends and family, baking bread, cultivating her garden, and working on projects at her family’s farm in Pennsylvania.
