Shelbey has been with DTLS since 2017, when she joined for a summer internship.  After earning dual master’s degrees in architecture and landscape architecture, she returned to pursue a career as a landscape architect and has since earned her professional licensure along with SITES accreditation.  Being a keen observer and listener makes Shelbey a natural fit for the community-led design efforts that she finds most rewarding.  She balances intuition and empathy with analysis and reason, translating data and research into designs that build resilience by strengthening connections between people, plants, and animals.  Whether checking out farmer/maker markets, downhill skiing, or exploring a local park with family, Shelbey is most happy outdoors.
