Matt has been practicing in St. Louis for over 25 years.  Prior to joining DTLS in 2016, he spent most of his career at multidisciplinary firms, where among other things, he learned the value of collaboration and cooperation.  Initially drawn to landscape architecture for its obvious connections to the natural world, Matt now finds the most rewarding aspect of the profession to be engaging with people, and working together to realize their visions for their own communities.  While his background reflects expertise in corporate, healthcare, and sport projects, his focus in recent years has shifted to public open space work - the places that belong to all of us.  Away from the office, Matt most enjoys taking family road trips, throwing a ball for a retriever, and assembling the annual holiday playlist.
